THE STORY
Upstairs began with a blow dry…
Just a walk down Doheny and Sunset to Modern Beauty and Stacy Sherman met a genius of a hairstylist with clients like Courtney Love. Stacy’s immediate thought was, “This place needs T-shirts.” So, Upstairs started up not as a store above the salon, but as a tiny corner in the window selling original iconic T’s from her and her writing partner Karen Ray’s “Un Femme Sur La Course,” or “Woman on the Run” line.
As the clientele grew, Stacy was asked to grow within the store. Problem was, there was no place to set up shop other than the dusty attic above the salon. So? What did she do? She took that attic apart (including its cottage cheese walls), and made it the cozy, private little hidden jewel that it is. Upstairs is now another "Stairway to Heaven," or Alice in Wonderland’s looking glass on acid, so to speak. Now, Sela Ward comes Upstairs. Kiely Williams comes Upstairs, and Vanna White comes Upstairs. Only one we’re waiting for? YOU.
…yes, you. You might end up on “Boutique!” our webseries ….

Part inspiration, part foundation for the store, Suzanne is the ultimate Femme Fatale and woman on the run…
